About HKPS
The Croatian Chamber of Tax Advisors (HKPS) was founded in Zagreb in November 2011 and is the umbrella organization for around 90 registered tax advisers.
In Croatia, the tax adviser profession is regulated by law, namely by the Tax Advisory Act. The membership to the Chamber is obligatory and the requirements to become and work as a tax adviser are high.
HKPS stands for:
- regulating professional laws that ensure high-quality tax consulting and high ethical standards,
- respecting the diverse and historically created different professional legal regimes in the Member States,
- a professional secret that allows tax advisors to build relationships based on trust, which is critical to the tax collection process,
- alignment and transparency between the market and tax policies.
